上海浦東展覽館位于上海科技館和東方藝術(shù)中心之間，擁有三層樓面共15,000平方米的總面積，用來(lái)舉辦各種活動(dòng)、展覽和會(huì)議，可同時(shí)容納20,000人次參觀者。

自2006年以來(lái)，上海浦東展覽館多次舉辦各類婚慶、服飾及奢侈品展覽，大多數(shù)都是免費(fèi)入場(chǎng)。有些特別的藝術(shù)類展覽需要提前購(gòu)票。

展覽館的2樓有540平方米的接待區(qū)域和咖啡廳，可供游客小歇。3樓有兩個(gè)半圓的大廳，還有兩個(gè)休息平臺(tái)。

上海浦東展覽館坐落于浦東新區(qū)政治與文化中心，合歡路201號(hào)。

浦東展覽館建筑風(fēng)格簡(jiǎn)約莊重、功能完善，工藝設(shè)計(jì)以人為本、利于管理，設(shè)備配置遵循“先進(jìn)實(shí)用與可持續(xù)發(fā)展”的原則。龐大的玻璃幕墻設(shè)計(jì)，完美的裝飾，空間的模塊化利用及其先進(jìn)的設(shè)施都展現(xiàn)出其獨(dú)特的創(chuàng)意，成為浦東乃至上海極具現(xiàn)代風(fēng)格的又一功能性、標(biāo)志性的建筑。

在中國(guó)改革開(kāi)放總設(shè)計(jì)師鄧小平同志親自倡導(dǎo)下，1990年4月18日，黨中央、國(guó)務(wù)院宣布開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放上海浦東。20年來(lái)，在上海市委、市政府的正確領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，在全國(guó)人民的支持下，浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放取得了舉世矚目的成就，走出了一條高起點(diǎn)、跨越式的發(fā)展道路。浦東被譽(yù)為“中國(guó)改革開(kāi)放的象征”和“上海現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)的縮影”。如今，一座外向型、多功能、現(xiàn)代化的新城區(qū)在浦江東岸崛起。2009年4月，國(guó)務(wù)院批復(fù)同意南匯區(qū)并入浦東新區(qū)，浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放進(jìn)入二次創(chuàng)業(yè)的新階段。 在開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放20周年之際，浦東新區(qū)在浦東展覽館舉辦“浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放展”，系統(tǒng)總結(jié)浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放20年的光輝歷程和取得的重大成就，展示未來(lái)10年浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放的美好前景。浦東開(kāi)發(fā)開(kāi)放展為常年開(kāi)放的展覽，由成果展、規(guī)劃展、產(chǎn)品展三部分組成，總展出面積約5000平方米。

On April 18th, 1990, advocated by Deng Xiaoping, the General Designer of China’s reform and opening-up policy, the Central Committee and the State Council announced the development and opening-up of Pudong, Shanghai. For 20 years, under the correct leadership of Shanghai CPC Committee and Municipal Government and supported by the people of the nation, Pudong has made great achievements that attract worldwide attention, and explored a high-standard and leap-forward development approach. Pudong is honored as the “symbol of China’s reform and opening-up” and the “epitome of Shanghai’s modernization”. An outward-oriented, multi-functional and modern new district is gradually rising along the east bank of Huangpu River. In April 2009, the State Council approved to merge Nanhui Administrative Area into Pudong New Area, marking that the development and opening-up of Pudong entered into the stage of second pioneering. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pudong’s development and opening-up, Pudong New Area holds the “Exhibition of Pudong New Area’s Development and Opening-up” in Pudong Expo. The Exhibition systematically showcases the glorious experiences and significant achievements in Pudong’s development and opening-up for 20 years and foresees the brilliant future 10 years ahead. As a permanent exposition with a showcase area of about 5,000 square meters, the Exhibition consists of three parts, i.e., Achievements, Planning, and Products.
